How often does the RSPCA receive calls about animal cruelty?

On average, every minute someone dials 0300 1234 999 – the RSPCA’s 24-hour cruelty telephone helpline. In 2016, they received over 1 million phone calls. They have approximately 340 RSPCA Inspectors, 50 Animal Welfare Officers (AWOs) and 88 Animal Collection Officers (ACOs) working to prevent cruelty and promote kindness to animals.
