While it is not as upscale or developed as other parts of the Bahamas, especially Nassau, Freeport still presents a laid back atmosphere, typical of the Bahamas. Overall, Freeport is a nice, quiet island to visit, but I would not visit there often. In my opinion, Nassau/Paradise Island is a far better place to visit.
